I’d love a copy of the copy Happy Wives Club!!! Lord knows I need it some days! 🙂 Thank you for sharing this thought provoking post. I enjoyed the read. I have fallen victim to this feeling myself, and it is important for us to change our outlook sometimes! Enjoyed the read!

  2. That’s a tough one. You want them to “prove” they care about you by going the extra mile and buying you things for Valentine’s Day. While our poor guys are like, “What, you doubted I loved you?” Silly us. 🙂

Took awhile, but I finally figured out he’s just not the flowers and candy kind of guy.(Although he tells me get those if I want.) But he goes to the Dollar Tree, and buys a bunch of cards, and then elaborates on the message for different occasions. I am part of my own “Happy Wives Club” after 48 years of marriage!

That sounds exactly how I used to view Valentine’s Day! Thanks for that and the opportunity to win a great resource for my marriage!

  6. Thank you, Cheri, for the great reminder. I did the same thing for too many years until one day I discovered that my husband just wasn’t made the same way I was. He showed me his love in numerous other ways, such as vacuuming for me when I was sick, drying the dishes faithfully every night even when I said for him to just sit and relax. He also would call during the day to see how my day was going and to top it all off, when he got home from work I would get a ‘killer hug’ from him that left me breathless. The flowers and cards he has really worked on, but I have also learned to be grateful for the more practical things he does to show me he loves me all year around. I don’t think I would trade that for a card and flowers each year. I have a good man and I have come to appreciate him for the way he is and not expect him to be a regular ‘Romeo’. Thanks for letting me comment on your great blog.
